Regional Sales Manager

We are having an excellent job opportunity for the Regional Sales Manager ( Non- Foods ) position with a leading company into FMCG

Organization: Leading FMCG Company
Experience: 10 yrs - 15 yrs

  • Only people from Packaged Food / FMCG / Non-Food / Soaps & Detergents, and who are willing to relocate to Bangalore.
  • Develop business in South India by planning, directing, and implementing sales strategies and programs to achieve or exceed sales objectives for the region.
  • Effectively manage the business in the concerned region and achieve sales objectives.
  • Set targets and monitor them periodically to ensure they align with the business plan.
  • Achieve regional sales operational objectives by contributing regional sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews.
  • Analyze sales trends and take corrective actions wherever necessary.
  • Develop and maintain a strong sales infrastructure and an aggressive sales team.
  • Manage, direct, and coordinate the activities of the Area Sales Managers.
  • Deploy sales team as per the company's requirements and budget.
  • Accomplish regional sales human resource objectives by orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees in assigned districts.
  • Appoint the right set of channel partners with appropriate experience, good infrastructure, financial strength, and an attitude to grow.
  • Plan, prepare, and control sales budget, sales forecast, and sales plan.
  • Develop sales plan to ensure optimum utilization of resources in the region.
  • Meet regional sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements.
  • Prepare an annual budget, schedule expenditures, analyze variances, and initiate corrective actions.
  • Ensure that all promotions are within budget.
  • Coordinate and manage relationships with distributors, customers, and other departments.
  • Develop and maintain an efficient distribution network.
  • Ensure commercial hygiene by monitoring damages, complaints, etc.
  • Continuously acquire knowledge regarding the industry, market construct, and customer behavior to enable effective business plans.
  • Acquire knowledge regarding competitor products and strategies, and counter competition effectively.
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain and Stock Control activities.
  • Develop systems for accurate forecasting and ensure follow-up with production, logistics, and CFA.
  • Exercise stock control at customer point, distributor point, and CFA.
  • Ensure smooth supplies and timely dispatch to distributors from CFA.
  • Ensure that sales systems and processes are in place and being used effectively.
